Experienced Sex Therapist in Denver: Tailored Therapy for You
Reapproaching, Rediscovering, and Renewing Relationships to Sexuality with Personalized Therapy
Finding Clarity Through a Sex Therapist
Sex is all around us, yet no one is really talking about it. We're supposed to be really good in bed and have mind-blowing sexual experiences, but the unnecessary taboo nature sends us deep into Google, trying to figure out what’s normal. For something that’s supposed to come “naturally” sex and sexuality can be really confusing. And let’s be real: the sex ed you might have received didn’t even touch on the depths of sexuality, let alone expansive pleasure or intimacy.
It’s this lack of understanding (which is not your fault) that tends to leave us with insecurities and grasping for what’s “normal.”
And That’s Why You:
Know you’re supposed to be sex positive, but you’re not positive you even know what that means
Hear your friends sharing stories of multiple orgasms over brunch and feel like you’re missing something, because sex often feels like a chore or box to be checked
Feel like a fraud for not being “queer enough” or “fluid enough” or “bi enough”
Have a brain that’s being a judgy bully and disconnecting you from your body right when things get interesting
Want to get to the spark you know is inside of you, but keep dimming your light for others instead
Are left wondering, “Is this it??”
No, That Is Not It!
If you’re struggling with sexuality, it’s not because something is wrong with you. It’s because:
We live in a sex-critical society, and that shame gets internalized without our consent
We aren’t taught to connect with our bodies in any way beyond utility
We still feel pressure to “pick” from a menu of labels regarding our sexuality and gender, and sometimes, none of those labels fit
So of course you’re trying to find answers to your deepest sexual questions on the internet! It’s time to step away from the Reddit threads and work with a professional sex therapist who can help you with the tools to explore identity, express your heart’s desires, and connect with pleasure.
Luckily, I know someone who would love to join your journey. Contact
Hi, I’m Emily (she/her)
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Holistic Sex Therapist based out of Denver. I help people residing in Colorado who want to feel more comfortable with expressions of their sexuality and gender (individually, or with their partners).
As a certified holistic sex therapist and licensed clinical social worker, I reject the idea that sex, sensuality, and pleasure need to come with a side of fear or shame. Sex therapy isn’t just about sex, normal is a myth, and your sexuality and gender expression can evolve over your lifetime.
That’s Why I…
-
of sexuality and help open you up to all the intimacies, not just sex, so that you can have an expansive experience of pleasure and desire both in the bedroom and in your daily life
-
By working to help take the shame and embarrassment out of sex (talking about masturbation, vulvas and penises, is just another Tuesday for me)
-
By intentionally getting to know what anxiety and stuckness look like, feel like, and how they show up for you, so that we can understand what they need, not exile them
There are so many outside factors that influence your sexuality, so let’s figure out what voice and values are yours, without shame or embarrassment. Together, we can support your brain and body in talking to each other to reconnect you to your unique desires and pleasures.

Reasons People Seek a Sex Therapist Include:
The way their body is (or is not) responding (difficulty with erection, orgasming, and/or ejaculation)
Exploring sexual orientation(s), identities and/or expressions (LGBTQIA+)
Unwanted pelvic pain with penetrative sex
Navigating desire, “sex drive” or libido differences
Processing sexual trauma
And while I can absolutely help with those things, it’s my experience that you will leave sex therapy with so much more than that including:
A better understanding of yourself and your body so you can have more enjoyable experiences
A safe space to speak of what feels unspeakable
A way to explore the boxes you’ve put yourself in, and the means to break down the ones that are no longer needed
Support to stop faking your pleasure and finally understand what everyone is talking about
